We have a local facility in Shrewsbury with experts in sports performance training and injury rehabilitation. Below you will find video’s of 5 different exercises to reduce your risk of injury, with three levels to allow you to challenge yourself appropriately. Beyond these exercises we offer physiotherapy services, 1:1 training, group training, programmes, and a membership to support your running and reduce injury risk.

Ashley Downing BSc MSc ASCC

Ash is currently the lead strength & conditioning coach for the Great Britain Archery Olympic and Paralympic squads, working for the English Institute of Sport which is the hub of sport science support for almost all Olympic and Paralympic sports in the UK.

Ash is an expert in advanced programming, exercise selection, and optimal technique and movement. This is where our unique combined service will help you recover as quickly as possible and limit future occurrences or injuries. 

Additionally, Ash has a Masters degree (MSc) in Applied Sport and Exercise Science, while also being the only Accredited Strength & Conditioning coach in Shrewsbury, which is the gold standard qualification in this industry.

Jonny Bucke BSc MSc MCSP MMACP

Jonny is a Chartered Physiotherapist and keen runner. Jonny currently works for the English Institute of Sport as the lead physiotherapist for the Great Britain Men’s Artistic Gymnastics team; with highlights including working at several European and World Championships and the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. Prior to this, Jonny worked in professional football with Reading FC and semi-professional rugby. He has also worked in the NHS across multiple different settings, including musculoskeletal outpatients, orthopaedics, elderly rehabilitation, stroke rehabilitation and intensive care.

Alongside this, Jonny has completed a Masters degree (MSc) in Advanced Manipulative Physiotherapy, has undergone further specialist training in Sports Massage and has published research internationally focusing on the spine in the field of physiotherapy.

TRAINING OPTIONS

1:1 Training

You can train 1:1 with us from £40 per session to improve your running and reduce your risk of injury. This is the most impactful way to achieve your goals while being guided and trained by an elite coach.

Group Training Sessions

Your first group session is FREE. Thereafter we charge a set fee of £32 per monththis includes a weekly group session with an experienced coach, a training programme, as well as many other benefits mentioned above.

Performance Membership

Our performance membership is an exclusive results driven membership for people who want to follow a specific training programme written by an elite level coach who works with all level of clients from the general public looking to improve their health & fitness to world class athletes. The membership includes gym access, training programme, private facebook group for support, as well as other benefits. You can read more here.
